emergent conversations: the post-modern outreach

I've really been getting into the subject of emergent/post-modern spirituality. I've read a lot of books, well... a lot more spiritual books in comparison to previous years anyway. They are all wonderful, and have given me so much to think about, to strive for...

  • A New Kind of Christian by Brian McLaren
  • The Story We Find Ourselves In by Brian McLaren
  • A Generous Orthodoxy by Brian McLaren
  • More Ready Than You Realize by Brian McLaren
Now my only problem is that I feel spiritually supercharged, and I have no open road to let loose on. The church that I was sporadically attending is very conservative, part of my frustration, and there really isn't much else nearby for me to check out. The post-modern/emergent ideaology hasn't really caught on in my area. If anyone knows of a church, community discussion group, or something like that in the Northwest Connecticut area, leave me a comment please. Alternatively, if you live in the area and have read these books with similar results, let me know and maybe we can start our own group.
